HTML

Would anyone whom might so happen upon this know of any good tutorials/general sites on HTML? I am dying. I can manipulate font, make links, make simple tables, but other than that, I'm really screwed. I went looking through the books in the house for something to aid my hyper-text markup illiteracy, but the only thing I found is this old HTML guide from 2000. Very outdated and very businessy.

I just want to put my fanfiction on a website and have it look remotely classy. Doesn't have to be java script and a complicated layout and whatnot. I just want something functional and navigable and not an eye-sore.

While you look for a HTML guide (sorry, I don't remember any now. Xx), would you be willing to edit or use a pre-made layout? o__o

Aa! Fuu from Samurai Champloo! ^_^ I love that show (though, I've seen very little of it).

Hm... I like the idea of having such a nice layout, but I think I'm just going to think on it for a while. I dunno... :/ Thank for the site, though. Have it bookmarked, I might use it... I just don't quite know yet. *Has some idiotic tendency at making things difficult* :/

Okay. ^__^ I should do what you're doing, make the layout myself. But I can't. X__x I don't have any program I can use to edit images (unless you're counting PaintBrush XD), and it's hard to make a good layout without a great background! O.o

Aa, layout making... I wouldn't even know how to begin with that, either. My software only goes as far as MS Paint and PSP8. :/ And I hardly know how to use that. And yea, back grounds seem very complicated.

It's not that I have a desire to have a layout of my own as much as it is that I have everything set up in this little web-like structure, now, and I'm afraid I'll screw everything up if I mess with it (it's already difficult about functioning how I want it to). x_x;

But yea, the idea of having an original layout is a pretty appealing one, too.
